Kathy''s a Comin'

October was such an exciting month because we had been anticipating a visit from our daughter Kathy and now it was here.  We were sorry that her husband Scott and their boys couldn't come and see the beautiful area where we were serving but at the same time it was fun to have Kathy all to ourselves.  Up to the time she arrived we were busy with furniture shopping for the apartment of Sister Calvert, a senior single sister who was  joining us in the office.  The Dela Cruz's arrived to replace the Baines in the temple and the Piersons left to go home.  On October 7th we had a dinner at the Mission Home for investigators and missionaries.

Elder Edwards led us in song (Elder Foley was on the piano)

 Hi Sister Leavitt

October 8th (2nd Monday in October) was Canadian Thanksgiving.  We were Invited to celebrate with a group of members and missionaries and had a true feast.  We have much to be thankful for: our family, our friends, this mission and the wonderful missionaries, members, investigators and neighbors we have learned to love, and especially the gospel, our loving Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ.

 Happy Thanksgiving!

Vince Vincent, event planner extraordinaire!!

We finished Sister Calvert's apartment, arranged for the Tiffanys to pick her up at the airport and we were ready for the arrival of Kathy!!
